ANAT Dome Lab Scholarship Success

Screen Development Australia has just awarded me a full subsidy to participate in the Australian Network for Art and Technology’s Dome Lab. According to ANAT “Dome Lab is a world‐leading, industry‐focused workshop investigating the entertainment potential of fulldome and the specific challenges involved in creating compelling live‐action story‐telling for large format screens”. It will take place from the 31st of October to the 5th of November and will be hosted by the Western Australian Supercomputer Program (WASP) at The University of Western Australia.

‘Blind, as you see it’, a theatrical performance involving puppetry, blacklight, dance and an eastern-influenced soundtrack, is being restaged as part of The Sydney Fringe 2010. There are no boring, overly long monologues here (unless you count a strange language spoken by chairs), it’s all about visual and sonic impact, something director/composer Michal Imielski is very good at.
